HUMAN UMBILICAL TISSUE-DERIVED CELL COMPOSITIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF INCONTINENCE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to compositions for the treatment of incontinence. More specifically, the invention relates to compositions comprising cells derived from human umbilical tissue and a carrier for the treatment of incontinence.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Injuries to soft tissue, for example, vascular, skin, or musculoskeletal tissue, are quite common. Many of these disorders occur in the absence of systemic disease and are a consequence of chronic repetitive low-grade trauma and overuse.
One example of a fairly common soft tissue injury is incontinence. Incontinence is the complaint of any involuntary leakage of urine or feces. It can cause embarrassment and lead to social isolation, depression, loss of quality of life, and is a major cause for institutionalization in the elderly population.
There are several types of incontinences including urge incontinence or urge urinary incontinence, stress incontinence or stress urinary incontinence, overflow incontinence, and mixed incontinence or mixed urinary incontinence. Mixed incontinence or mixed urinary incontinence refers to the case when a patient suffers from more than one form of urinary incontinence.
The medical need is high for effective pharmacological treatments especially for mixed incontinence and stress urinary incontinence (SUI). This high medical need is a result of lack of efficacious pharmacological therapy coupled with high patient numbers. Recent estimates put the number of people suffering from SUI in the USA at 18 million, with women predominantly affected.

Therapeutic indications
Amoxicillin-clavulanate is indicated for the treatment of the following bacterial infections when amoxicillin resistant β-lactamase-producing strains are suspected as the cause (see section 5.1). In other situations, amoxicillin alone should be considered:
• Upper respiratory tract infections (including ENT): recurrent tonsillitis, acute sinusitis, acute otitis media;
• Lower respiratory tract infections: acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia;
• Urinary tract infections: cystitis (especially when recurrent or complicated – excluding prostatitis), pyelonephritis;
• Skin and soft tissue infections: cellulitis, animal bites and severe dental abscess with spreading cellulitis;
• Other infections: septic abortion, puerperal sepsis, intra-abdominal sepsis.
Consideration should be given to official guidance on the appropriate use of antibacterial agents.
Posology and method of administration
Route of administration: oral use
Co-amoxiclav is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age due to a lack of data on safety and efficacy.
Dosage depends on the age, weight and renal function of the patient and the severity of the infection. Dosages are expressed throughout in terms of amoxicillin-/clavulanate content except when doses are stated in terms of an individual component.
To minimise potential gastrointestinal intolerance, administer at the start of a meal. The absorption of amoxicillin-clavulanate is optimised when taken at the start of a meal.

Indicaciones terapéuticas
Amoxicilina-clavulanato está indicado para el tratamiento de las siguientes infecciones bacterianas cuando se cree que cepas productoras de β-lactamasa resistentes a amoxicilina son la causa (vea la sección 5.1). En otros casos, se debe considerar la amoxicilina sola:
• Infecciones del tracto respiratorio superior (incluyendo ONG): tonsilitis recurrente, sinusitis aguda, otitis media aguda;

Vía de administración: Administración oral
No se recomienda el uso de Co-amoxiclav en niños menores de 12 años debido a la escasez de datos sobre seguridad y eficacia.
La dosis depende de la edad, peso y función renal del paciente, así como de la severidad de la infección. Las dosis se expresan generalmente, en términos de contenido amoxicilina/clavulanato, excepto cuando las dosis se establecen en términos de un componente individual.
