I am an English-Greek freelance translator (bilingual) since 2001. I was born and raised in Greece by a Greek father and a Puerto-Rican/New Yorker mother.
In 2006 I returned from Brighton, UK where I lived for 20 months. My main interest is in technical texts (manuals).
Professional experience:
- Technical: manuals for software help, home appliances, audio and video equipment, computer monitors, peripherals, tools, etc. (e.g. for Epson, Lexmark, HP, Nokia, Microsoft)
- Legal: mainly contracts, tenders and ISO and QA documents
- Medical: manuals for medical equipment (e.g. analysers, blood pressure monitors), general pharmaceutical texts. Ongoing cooperation with a doctor (GP- Gastroenterologist)
- Internet sites: the most recent are for the British Council in Greece and GlobalTestMarket (into Greek)
