I have been working as translator of Japanese and English sources into German for a wide range of customers, especially for business consultancies and translation outsourcers for 8 years now. From an early stage on I have pursued a strategy of specialization: Matters concerned with taxation, accounting and commercial transactions are my specialty. My second specialty is the translation of material on environmental technologies. Other areas of specialized knowledge, underpinned by my hobbies, are photografy and sailing.

But my work is not restricted to these subjects, I have always been happy to bring my skills to bear if a translation of a marketing text or a technical manual is called for. Long years as an associated lecturer and researcher at Freie Universität Berlin laid the foundation of my ability to produce German texts easily understandable by a wide audience and specialists at the same time.

All my translations are subject to the 4-eyes-principle: My wife, a specialist holding a University degree (MA) in Public Relations and Marketing, checks all my translations for wording and impact.

A high proportion of repeat orders can be taken as proof of the excellent quality maintained in my translations.

I attained my linguistic and philological qualification for translations from Japanese to German and English studying the Japanese language and economics at University and by living and studying in the United States and Japan. Consistent advanced training in the area of bookkeeping and accounting insures the high quality of my services. At the present point of time I am preparing for Japanese bookkeeping examinations of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tokyo, Japan.
