About me

I am a bilingual Italian/French translator highly proficient in English. A precise and accurate language professional with an eye for detail, I also have a flair for creative writing and Web-oriented content.

Expertise

After a two-year-and-half work experience in one of Europe's leading online hotel reservation websites both as a translator/editor and as a sales representative, I can fairly say that travel & tourism is one of my strongest fields of expertise. In the former role, I attended an internal seminar on search engine optimizazion focussing on techniques and strategies for creating compelling content for Web pages.

Prior to that, I collaborated with an Italian publishing house for the translation of sociological essays and worked as a freelance translator on several types of project - including audioguides, company websites, newspaper articles, and marketing texts - and on different language combinations.

My work

High-quality language services in both Italian and French: translation, localization, copywriting, editing and proofreading.

Professional development

While still at university, where I graduated with honors in Foreign Languages and Literatures, I started to attend training courses and seminars to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Today, I am more than ever convinced that continuing education is a key professional requirement.

Apart from self study - I am now focussing on search engine optimization and Web content writing - so far I have attended:
- a training course on literary translation
- a workshop on technical translation
- a seminar on SEO copy-writing and usability
- an intensive training course on Web programming
