I completed my graduation and masters in economics and later got a diploma in Computer Science and Applications. I began my professional life as a teacher of English and continued that for two years. Then I worked in the field of human resources and personnel administration for six years. Later I started to work as a News Editor in an electronic media and a freelance translator.

I studied both in Bengali and English atmosphere which helped me gather knowledge of both the languages. In Bengali, I really feel something motherly, not only for that- it’s my native language, but also for the cause of its inherent quality. I also am highly interested in English, the widespread international language which is exceptionally rich in vocabulary. Besides, I like to study other languages including Hindi, Urdu, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic for the comprehension of comparative linguistics.

I got the opportunity to deal with languages in some reputed organizations and this helped me a lot be enriched in both Bengali and English languages and made me interested in translation work. In the media, I performed jobs like translation, transcription as well as editing.

The media also opened a wide horizon for me and through it I entered the diversified world of translation. There I gathered experience on the items of politics, administration, finance and economics, law, agriculture, fisheries, science and technology, development, various social and religious issues, nature, natural calamities and disasters, international organizations, sports, culture and so on.

My background, long experience and last but not the least, knack for translation inspired me to become a freelance translator with the promise of providing the best quality services. I believe that a tree is known by its fruits; so performance will speak about me. Reliability, versatility, accuracy and timeliness are my mottoes. Indeed I enjoy translation from Bengali to English and vice versa.

I charge competitive rate and indeed it's negotiable depending on the nature, volume and urgency of the project.
