Born and raised in California, I grew up speaking English, Spanish and Cantonese. For the past fifteen years, I have lived in France where I worked for ten years as a professional full-time translator for a European NGO (using UK English) and for the past five as an IP Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the head of an Intellectual Property law firm. I am called on to translate or edit texts from time to time, but am mostly involved in client relations and marketing, which requires that I speak and write both excellent French and English.

However, as my previous employer has expanded its activities, they often contact me to help them with urgent translations as a free-lance translator. Knowing that I am reliable, thorough and conscientious in my work, they have often recommended me to other organizations as well.

In recent years, I have begun translating additional languages. Although the addition of Spanish and Italian as source languages to my repertoire came about as the result of a natural interest in languages and of helping out a friend, I have since been paid for this kind of work as my customers have been satisfied with my work and my competitive rates, not to mention the fact that it is a point of pride with me to find the best word for a particular context in order to produce a translation that is adapted to the needs of my clients. Furthermore, I have always respected any deadlines given to me.
