Derivative product types

Forwards and futures are contractual agreements to either buy or sell a specified currency, commodity or financial instrument at a specific price and date in the future. Forwards are customised contracts transacted in the over-the-counter market. Foreign currency and interest rate futures are transacted in standardised amounts on regulated exchanges and are subject to daily cash margin requirements. Forward rate agreements are effectively tailor-made interest rate futures which fix a forward rate of interest on a notional loan, for an agreed period of time starting on a specified future date.

Swaps are contractual agreements between two parties to exchange interest or foreign currency differentials based on a specific notional amount. For interest rate swaps, counterparties generally exchange fixed and floating rate interest payments based on a notional value in a single currency. For currency swaps, fixed or floating interest payments as well as notional amounts are exchanged in different currencies.

Options are contractual agreements that convey the right, but not the obligation, to either buy or sell a specific amount of a commodity or financial instrument at a fixed price, either at a fixed future date or at any time within a specified period

About me

Since 2000, I have been working in Egypt in the fields of business, legal, and financial translations. I have also been providing consecutive and at sight translations during meetings and conferences form Arabic into English and vise versa (whispering)

My study of Professional written translation at the AUC , the American University in Cairo enriched my knowledge through getting exposed to different translations at different fields with special emphasis on economics, UN language, legal, speeches, Arabic editing, from Arabic into English and vise versa.

Moving to Kuwait, I worked as a freelancer with different translation centers and I have been exposed to translation of variety of documents in various fields such as different marriage contracts form different countries, international agreements, food industry fields, gems booklet….etc

Currently working as full time translator at an international auditing firm in Kuwait . my expertise is mainly in the legal and financial domain.

The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
