After having lived and worked in France and Spain for a linguistically enlightening period, I then spent five years as an in-house translator with two leading Scottish language providers. I now specialise in advertising, marketing, tourism and sport-related translations from French and Spanish into English - I have recently done work on behalf of FIFA (general articles and interviews, as well as specific pieces on the U-17 World Cup, Beach Soccer World Cup, 2010 World Cup South Africa, Club World Cup UAE 2009 & 2010, Copa America 2011, Women's World Cup 2011), UEFA (Champions League material), the Global Sports Forum (press releases and interviews), the FIVB, the Annecy Winter Olympics bid, the 2012 London Olympics, numerous French trade shows and regional development agencies (Franchise Expo Paris, SIMA, Vending Paris, IFTM Top Resa, Equip Auto, PREDA and Ports de Paris, to name but a few) and various advertising agencies and tourist boards around Europe.

I have also recently begun doing regular work for some high-profile direct clients, such as OGC Nice (of Ligue 1), the Capello Index and Poker Mambo.

I am now based in the United States, which many of my European clients find advantageous for projects requiring a next-day turnaround.
