I spent one year as a full-time content editor at Booking.com, the world leader in online hotel reservations. This provided me with a solid background in commercial writing and consolidated my previous experience in the tourism sector, including working on the publication "FIB" at the Benicàssim International Music Festival, which involved translating numerous texts real-time in order to meet strict, early morning deadlines. During summer 2010 I worked on translations for the Catalan Government's cultural agenda, seriebcn.cat
In July 2010 I worked on the translation of an entire section of the website of the Castellón-Costa Azahar Tourist Board, Turismo de Castellón.
I am passionate about world literature and film, and was selected by Ecuadorian novelist Leonardo Valencia to embark on a translation of his novel "La vida flotante de Caytran Dölphin", as well as collaborating on several presentations about the novel.
Where film is concerned, I have translated presentations and/or film scripts for the Catalan directors Marc Recha, Enrich Alberich and Christian Molina.
I continue to be actively involved in academia, have translated a range of academic articles and transcripts, including for the University of Barcelona, and am currently working on a paper on José Luis Guerín's "En La Ciudad de Sylvia".
I have translated the material from several museum exhibitions, including a notable exhibition on EU Investment in Catalonia and the architectural show "Una Ciudad Llamada España", sponsored by Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture.
I pride myself on my fast turnover, accuracy and, above all, my excellent working relationship with all of my clients. For me fluid communication and a solid platform for mutual feedback are paramount to obtaining the right results. | This user has earned KudoZ points by helping other translators with PRO-level terms.
