After having taught English at a vocational business college (Dutch HBO) for hospitality management for 11 years, I have started my own freelance business for translation, editing, proofreading and teaching. In addition to teaching at the college, I also did quite a bit of translation and editing for the school, and before that I translated for 1 1/2 years.

Having moved to The Netherlands as an adult nearly 18 years ago, I had a good solid foundation in the English language before learning Dutch. My years of teaching at an international school in The Netherlands have provided me with a broad knowledge of business, marketing and hospitality jargon. In addition, I have an avid interest in holistic health and nutrition, childhood development and art.

I am currently writing and illustrating a children's book - one of those things I've always wanted to do.
