| Translation - English Evidence collected on carbonate deposition in continental platforms shows that the response of carbonate environments to changes in sea level differs from that of clastic environments. Transgressive and regressive events are defined respectively as landward and seaward migrations of the shoreline driven by the interaction between eustasy and sedimentation rate. In marine carbonate environments, deposits do not originate from the continent but are rather generated within the basin, and sedimentation rate is always lower or equal to rates of base level change. As a result, in the absence of any supply of sediments from the continent, transgressions and regressions of the shoreline depend exclusively on eustatic factors. Furthermore, in carbonate environments minor internal sequences arrange themselves into a progradational stacking pattern before eustatic regression begins at the shoreline. In consequence, sequence stratigraphy surfaces may not have the same temporal location on the base level change curve as they do in the independent model of sequence stratigraphy, which is designed to be used to interpret siliciclastic deposits in sedimentary environments of marine-continental transition. | Spanish to English: Golf course description General field: Other Detailed field: Sports / Fitness / Recreation | Source text - Spanish El Recorrido Rosa:
Hoyo 1:
| Translation - English The Pink Course:
1st Hole:
The course gets off to a tough start with this par five, dog-leg right. Bunkers on both sides of the fairway pose a risk for the tee and second shots. The long and narrow green set diagonally across from the tee can be easily missed on either side. Numerous dips make it hard to ensure 2 putts after an inaccurate approach shot.
2nd Hole:
Narrow and surrounded by trees on either side, this par 4 requires accuracy on both the tee and approach shots. It is of vital importance to make it onto the fairway in order to get a good angle on the second shot, so accuracy should take precedence over length. The elevated green is well guarded by a short left bunker, and thus requires a high shot.
3rd Hole:
The shortest of the par 3s on the course, this hole is a good chance to knock a point off your score. If you miss your tee shot, however, it may be pretty hard to save par shooting from the forest that surrounds the hole.
| Spanish to English: The Banco de España releases its conclusions on the recapitalisation needs of Spain's banking sector General field: Bus/Financial Detailed field: Finance (general) | Source text - Spanish Banco de España califica hoy la solvencia de bancos y cajas
| Translation - English The Banco de España will evaluate commercial and savings bank solvency today
Today is critical for Spain’s banking sector. In a few hours the Banco de España will release its conclusions on the recapitalisation needs of Spain’s commercial and savings banks. Data released by Spain’s central bank will include a list of banks that do not meet new solvency ratio requirements, as well as estimates of how much they must raise in order to do so. Banks that fail to make the cut will have just fifteen days to submit a recapitalisation plan to the Banco de España. If the plan does not bear fruit by September the government will take a stake in the bank’s equity. Confusion and uncertainty over the cost of recapitalising Spain’s banking sector should be cleared up today. The government estimates the cost at no more than €20 billion, but calculations by investment firms range from Moody’s estimate of €17 billion to UBS’ estimate of €120 billion. Yesterday Goldman Sachs placed the figure between €22 billion and €59 billion.
