I’d like to explain the reason why I decided to work as freelance translator. I admit, translation is not my principal occupation, I’m currently student of architecture (since 2006), and I hope that in the future I’ll be recognized in that profession.
However I’ve been studying languages for many years, English - since the age of 5, Italian - since the age of 12 (I’m currently 24). For that long period of learning ,I’ve reached profound levels of knowledge in these languages (check my credentials for details). That’s why I think I can offer services in the area of translation. Not being sworn translator, I don’t pretend to be paid as much as one, but that doesn’t mean my work is lacking in quality. My artistic education has extended my natural tendency towards perfectionism and care for the detail, which I apply in every work I do, including translations.
I think that cooperation between me and a potential client would be very useful and beneficial for both sides. The client would get translation of high quality and, would save some money. As for me, I’d have the wonderful opportunity to earn while improving my language qualifications even further!
