La balle pénètre le crâne de John Fitzgerald Kennedy, provoquant une béance de treize centimètres de diamètre. Le projectile Winchester Mannlicher –Carcano, calibre 6,5, lacère la région pariétale du cerveau, émiette l’aire somato-motrice et explose en fracturant l’os et le frontal droit. De minuscules copeaux de métal s’éparpillent. Le lobe gauche disparaît purement et simplement. Des morceaux de tissu, des bouts d’os se dispersent, sous la pression colossale engendrée par la balle. Des lignes de fracture en étoile craquellent la boîte crânienne. Le sang jaillit en geyser et asperge tous les occupants de la limousine présidentielle. Le corps de JFK, devenu mou, rebondit contre le dossier de la banquette, et s’effondre sur l’épaule de Jackie Kennedy. Elle est assise à sa gauche, à quinze centimètres. Elle crie :
- Oh non ! non, non, non ! On a tiré sur mon mari !

Minuscole schegge di metallo si sparpagliano tutto intorno. Il lobo sinistro, semplicemente, sparisce. Lembi di pelle e schegge di ossa schizzano via, spinti dalla tremenda pressione della pallottola. Una ragnatela di fratture segna il cranio, serpeggiando via dal punto di impatto. Il sangue schizza ovunque, imbrattando gli occupanti della limousine presidenziale. Il habitait une petite maison de pêcheur, tout seul avec sa maman.
« Ma maman à moi ! »

Sur son île qui s’appelait l’île d’Avel, c’était la dernière maison à l’Ouest.
« Oui, mais c’est la plus jolie ! »
Comme c’était les grandes vacances, il y avait plein de gens sur l’île.
« Pff ! des touristes ! »
Des gens qui allaient tous les jours à la plage et qui se baignaient.
« Mais pas moi !! »
« Octave ! à table !! »

« Bon, il va être l’heure d’aller au lit, jeune homme. »
