O valor é 40% do PIB da Argentina no ano passado e o quádruplo do uruguaio. E equivale a 16 vezes a quantia girada pelo comércio eletrônico brasileiro no período. Os ganhos dos chamados hackers "black hat", que invadem sistemas para cometer crimes, são obtidos de várias formas.

In 2010 hackers around the world earned US$ 150 billion by using stolen information from individuals and corporations. The estimate is from the Ponemon Institute which provides consulting services in information technology safety.
The estimated sum is equivalent to 40 percent of last year's Argentinian GDP and it is four times that of Uruguay's. It is also sixteen times the revenue of the Brazilian electronic sector for the same period. The earnings obtained by the hackers that infiltrate computer systems with the intent to commit crime, known as "black hat", are obtained in many different ways. |
