Patente KAMA Maschine zum Falten und Kleben
Die Dresdner KAMA GmbH bringt eine neu entwickelte Falt- und Klebemaschine auf
den Markt. Die neue ProFold 74 schließt in der Weiterverarbeitungskette
nahtlos an die KAMA Stanzautomaten an und fertigt aus gestanzten, gerillten
und veredelten Zuschnittbögen eine ganze Bandbreite an Produkten wie Präsentations- und
Angebotsmappen, Faltprospekte, Ticket- und Versandtaschen sowie CD- und DVD-Hüllen.
Die Maschine kann Taschen und Laschen verschiedenster Form und Größe in einem Durchgang falten und kleben. Auch Mappen mit Füllhöhe oder Stehrücken lassen sich auf der ProFold 74 maschinell fertigstellen. »Es ist erstaunlich, wie viel im Post-press-Bereich heute noch in
Handarbeit gefaltet und geklebt wird«, erklärt KAMA Geschäftsführer Marcus Tralau.
»Wir wissen, dass hier viele Druckereien, Buchbindereien und Weiterverarbeitungsbetriebe
schneller und flexibler werden wollen. Und sie wollen ihren Kunden Produkte in hoher und vor allem einheitlicher Qualität zusichern.« Dafür bietet sich die ProFold 74 mit ihrer breiten Einsatzpalette
an. Neues Multitalent »Made in Dresden« Marcus Tralau hat die Idee für den Finishing Folder aus
den USA mitgebracht. »Dort wird heutzutage jedes Angebot in einer schick veredelten Mappe überreicht, ob für ein Auto oder für eine ... S. 3
S. 1 ... Versicherung. Doch trotz des großen Bedarfs fehlte für die Weiterverarbeitung
eine passende Maschinenlösung.« Nun ist sie da, die KAMA ProFold 74, fünfeinhalb Meter lang und einen Meter breit, einsatzbereit zum Weiterverarbeiten von Zuschnitten bis zum Format 740 x 740
Millimeter. Die Maschine ist aus den drei Baugruppen Zuschnittanleger, Transportmodul mit
Anpressrollen, Werkzeugträgersystem und Touchpanel sowie der Auslage äußerst
kompakt gebaut.
Flexibles Maschinenkonzept
Wie die KAMA Stanzen zeichnet sich auch die Falt- und Klebemaschine durch ein flexibles Maschinenkonzept aus. Die Werkzeuge zum Falten und Kleben können auf der ProFold 74 in beliebiger Reihenfolge angeordnet werden. Das Einrichten geht einfach und schnell, denn durch
das gerasterte Werkzeugträgersystem muss nicht viel justiert werden. Das Trägersystem hat KAMA zum Patent angemeldet. Eine weitere Besonderheit der ProFold 74 ist der Saugriemenanleger,
der ohne Maschinenstopp kontinuierlich befüllt werden kann. Zur Werkzeugvielfalt für das neue Multitalent aus Dresden gehören obere und untere Falztasche, kleine und große Pflugfalz, ein Heißleim-Auftragsystem sowie ein Falt- und Klebesystem für Füllhöhe. Menschen bei KAMA - Patenter Konstrukteur
Wenn nach zwei Jahren Entwicklungszeit die Maschine läuft und die Produkte fertig
gefaltet und geklebt in die Auslage kommen, ist das schon aufregend«, erzählt
Bernd Herfurth über die Testläufe am neuen Finishing Folder von KAMA. Der Konstrukteur
hat das Entwicklungskonzept für die ProFold 74 erdacht und umgesetzt. »Das Ziel war eine flexible Falt- und Klebemaschine, auf der verschiedenste Produkte gefertigt werden können.« Dafür haben Herfurth und sein Team ein einzigartiges Werkzeugträgersystem konstruiert, bei dem die Reihenfolge der Werkzeuge frei an die Erfordernisse der Produkte angepasst werden kann. »Der
Patentantrag für das System läuft«, ergänzt er mit leisem Stolz. Nach ersten Konstruktionserfahrungen in der DDR-Zeit bei Robotron entwickelt der gebürtige Dresdner seit nun
14 Jahren Präge- und Verpackungsmaschinen für Kartonagen, seit 2005 bei KAMA.
Seine Freizeit verbringt der 47-Jährige am liebsten in der Natur – zu Fuß oder auf dem Fahrrad.

Neues Wechselplattensystem zum Heißprägen
Turbowechsel für Heißfolie
Kurze Umrüstvorgänge vom Stanzen zum Prägen und umgekehrt zeichnen das Heißfolien-
Prägesystem von KAMA aus. Möglich macht dies die mobile Heizplatte, die zum Prägen anstelle des Schließrahmens in die Stanze eingeschoben wird. Die Klischees werden dabei direkt auf der Heizplatte montiert. Jetzt hat KAMA das System verbessert, indem die Heizplatte mit einer abnehmbaren Aluminium-Platte zur Befestigung der Klischees versehen werden kann. Auf dieser Wechselplatte können die Klischees des Folgejobs bereits vormontiert werden, während der vorherige Prägeauftrag noch läuft. Für sich häufig wiederholende Aufträge ist es sogar denkbar, die Klischees gleich auf der Trägerplatte zu belassen. Die Positioniergenauigkeit der Wechselträgerplatte auf der Basisplatte ist durch Passschrauben gewährleistet. Die Wechselträgerplatte kostet nur einen Bruchteil der Heizplatte, so dass der Anwender seine Maschine mit einer beliebigen Anzahl ausstatten kann. Zwei Trägerplatten gehören zum Lieferumfang der Basisversion bereits dazu. Das Wechselplattensystem ist als Option für die Veredelungsstanzen ProCut 105 und ProCut 74 ab sofort lieferbar.

Erfolgsfaktoren bei der Heißfolienprägung
Praxistipps Heißprägen
Für ein exzellentes Ergebnis beim Heißfolienprägen müssen viele Faktoren stimmen.
KAMA Anwendungsspezialist Jörg Dahnert verrät, worauf es in der Praxis der Prägekunst
ankommt. Hier die fünf wichtigstens Tipps:
Die richtige Folie
Wichtigster Erfolgsfaktor für eine gute Heißfolienprägung ist die zum Prägebild (Image) passende Folie. Folien, die hart ablösen, eignen sich für feinste Designs, Konturen und Schriften. Folien, die weich ablösen, empfehlen sich für mittlere und größere Flächen. Für besondere Effekte gibt es Folien mit Mikrostrukturen sowie spezielle Folien für Relief, die Kombination aus Blind- und
Heißprägung.
Material des Klischees
Das Klischee kann aus Magnesium oder Messing hergestellt sein. Der Einsatz hängt
von der Auflagenhöhe ab. Richtwert: Bis 40 000 Prägungen reicht das günstigere Magnesium
aus, für hohe Auflagen und Wiederholaufträge wird Messing empfohlen.
Gegenstanzplatte
Die Qualität der Prägung und die Geschwindigkeit variieren mit einer genauen Zurichtung
auf der Gegenstanzplatte. In der Praxis bewährt hat sich die Kombination aus
Buchdrucktuch (0,3 mm) und Epoxydharzplatte (0,5 mm). Mit gutem Erfolg haben wir bei
KAMA Maschinen auch MHP Platten (melaminbeschichtetes Pertinax) eingesetzt.
Passende Ablösezeit
Für das Ablösen der Folie gilt folgende Faustformel: Große Flächen lösen länger ab als
kleine Flächen und Schriften. Beeinflussen lässt sich das Ablösen durch die Bremse an
der Abwicklung. Erhöhtes Bremsgewicht lässt die Folie strammer spannen, was die
Ablösung erleichtert – und umgekehrt.
Die richtige Balance der Kräfte
Am Ende bestimmen Stanzdruck, Temperatur und Geschwindigkeit das Resultat.
Generell gilt: Eine höhere Geschwindigkeit verkürzt die Kontaktzeit, dies wird mit stärkerem Prägedruck und höherer Temperatur ausgeglichen. Die Temperatur beim Zurichten sollte circa
105 ºC betragen, die Temperatur beim Prägen 10 bis 15 Grad darüber liegen.

Geschichte/n aus 111 Jahren Maschinenbau
Die KAMA Story
Seit über hundert Jahren entwickelt und exportiert KAMA Kartonagenmaschinen - und
schreibt Geschichte. Nachzulesen ist die spannende Story des 1894 zu Kaisers
Zeiten schon als Aktiengesellschaft gegründeten Traditionsbetriebes in einem
packenden Buch. Eingebettet in die bewegte Vergangenheit der Elbmetropole Dresden

Ständer vom Stanztisch mit 1 500 kg Gewicht und beinahe Würfelmaß von 1,1 m Kantenlänge. Für Zusammenhalt im Einführtisch sorgen 4 x 8 mm kleine Schrauben. Dass auch ein Leichtgewicht Druck machen kann, zeigt die Druckfeder in der Seitenmarke mit nur 1 g.

New removable disk system for hot stamping
Turbo change for hot film
The hot film stamping system from Kama stands out for its short changeover times from cutting to
stamping and vice versa. This is made possible by the mobile heating plate, which is inserted in the cutting device instead of the chase. In the process, the blocks are fitted directly onto the hotplate. KAMA has now improved the system, making it possible to fit the hotplate with a removable aluminium plate for attaching the blocks. The blocks for the following job can be pre-fitted on this removable plate while the current stamping job is still in progress. For jobs which are frequently repeated, it is even conceivable to leave the blocks on the holding plate. Fitted bolts ensure that the removable holding plate is precisely positioned on the base plate. The removable holding plate costs just a fraction of the hotplate, meaning that the user can equip his machine with any quantity of them he wishes. Two holding plates are already supplied as standard with the basic version. The removable plate system can be immediately supplied as an option to ProCut 105 and ProCut 74 finishing cutting devices.

Success factors in hot film stamping
Practical hot stamping tips
Many factors have to be just right to produce an excellent result with hot film stamping.
KAMA application specialist Jörg Dahnert reveals what is vital in the practice of stamping. Here are the five most important tips:
The correct film
The most important success factor for good hot film stamping is the film suited to the image. Films which detach when they are hard are suitable for highly refined designs, contours and scripts. Films which detach when they are soft are recommended for medium-sized and larger surfaces. For special effects are there films with microstructures and special films for relief, a combination of blind and hot stamping.
Material for the block
The block can be made from magnesium or brass. The particular one used depends on the length of the print run. Recommendation: magnesium, which is cheaper, is sufficient for up to 40,000 stampings. For long print runs and repeat jobs, brass is recommended.
Counterstamping plate
Stamping quality and speed vary according to the precision of preparation on the counterstamping plate. A combination of rubber blanket (0.3 mm) and epoxy resin plate (0.5 mm) has proved to be effective. We have also used MHP plates (melamine-coated Pertinax) with KAMA machines, with a high degree of success.
Suitable detachment time
The following rule of thumb applies to film detachment: large areas take longer to detach than
small areas and scripts. The detachment process is affected by braking the unwinding. Increased brake pressure causes the film to be stretched more tightly making detachment easier, and vice versa.
The correct balance of forces
In the long run, cutting pressure, temperature and speed determine the result.
The following general rule applies: Higher speed curtails the contact time and stronger stamping pressure and higher temperature compensate for this. Temperature during straightening should be approx. 105ºC and the temperature during stamping should be 10ºC to 15°C above that.

the original, choose success” in advertisements, posters and at press conferences, previous to the Drupa. The core messages of “quality” and “ innovation”, “efficiency” (value for money”, “experience” and “safety” (high standards) summarise the advantages of the use of original technology. The KAMA story
For over 100 years, KAMA has been developing and exporting cardboard machines - and
writing history. Worth looking up in a fascinating book is the exciting story of the traditional firm founded as a limited company, in 1894 back in the days of the Empire. Firmly embedded in the lively past of Dresden, city on the Elbe, the chronicle “People – Life – History” shows, in a very clear way, how the company developed through four social systems.
The courageous new beginning in the period of German Reunification in 1994 is a second birth for the company, which is now again successfully marketing its cutting and further processing machines all over the world, as it did before. Incidentally, KAMA also built folding and gluing machines last century. The largest and heaviest part is the cutting table stand, weighing 1,500 kg and with cubic measurements of almost 1.1 m edge length. 4 x 8mm small screws guarantee the solidity of the feed table. 1) Contexte
Même si l’hygiène bucco-dentaire a fait beaucoup de progrès, il reste trop d’enfants qui ont des caries soit trop précocement, soit en trop grand nombre et qui arrivent à l’adolescence avec un coefficient masticatoire diminué. Les dentistes s’intéressent donc à dépister tous les facteurs qui peuvent favoriser ou protéger des caries.
2) Opinion des Français :
Dans l’enquête du CREDOC, si on demande ceux qui pensent que le chocolat peut provoquer
des caries, ils sont :
- tout à fait d’accord 25 % pour les consommateurs 10 % des leaders d’opinion 19 % des professionnels de santé
- plutôt d’accord 30 % des consommateurs 32 % des leaders d’opinion 39 % des professionnels de santé
3) Comment survient une carie ?
L’apparition d’une carie nécessite la coexistence de 4 facteurs, ainsi que l’a montré Keys :
- la nature glucidique de l’aliment au contact des dents. Des expérimentations ont montré que les rats nourris avec un régime hypersucré, mais par sonde gastrique, ne présentaient pas de carie
- le temps de contact du glucide avec la dent, il est fonction de son adhérence à l’émail et de la durée écoulée avant la survenue d’un brossage.
- La présence de bactéries (comme le « Streptocoque mutans ») qui vont faciliter l’apparition de la plaque dentaire en métabolisant les glucides présents en bouche et en produisant des acides qui détruisent les tissus minéralisés de l’émail dentaire. Quand le
pH est inférieur à 5,5 apparaît une déminéralisation de l’émail.
- L’hérédité de l’individu qui donne un émail de plus ou moins bonne qualité, une composition salivaire spécifique et une immunité locale et générale variable.
4) Le chocolat favorise-t-il les caries ?
Edgar et Rugg-Gunn ont montré le faible pouvoir acidogène du chocolat. Mundorff a pu, notamment en étudiant la quantité d’émail dissout, classer les aliments en fonction de leur index de cariogénicité (il attribue au saccharose arbitrairement l’indice 1) :

Le mode d’administration compte aussi. On peut augmenter la quantité de sucre consommé de 30 à 330 g par jour, sans majorer le taux de caries, à condition que ce sucre soit absorbé au cours ou à la fin des repas. Le grignotage est donc plus pernicieux…
Stalfors a ajoute à l’alimentation habituelle de hamsters 2%, 5%, 10% ou 20% de poudre de cacao. Par rapport à un groupe témoin, le taux de carie a diminué respectivement de - 42%, - 60%, - 75% et – 84%. Certes le sucre contenu ans le chocolat favorise les caries, mais Paolino conclut :
« Contrairement à une opinion très répandue, il a été prouvé que la poudre de cacao possède un effet anti-caries, même quand elle est mélangée à une substance cariogène comme le sucre. » On explique ces résultats, car la pâte de cacao contient 3 substances qui possèdent un puissant pouvoir anticariogène :
- les polyphénols qui contiennent 6 % de polyhydroxyphénol inhibant le développement des bactéries buccales et empêchent leur fixation sur l’émail dentaire
- le fluor présent à la concentration de 0,05mg/100g qui renforce la résistance de l’émail
- les phosphates qui tamponnent les acides formés.
R.S. Percival a voulu déterminer le rôle des polyphénols, comme facteurs protecteurs des caries après consommation de chocolat. Les polyphénols ont une action antimicrobienne contre le Streptococcus mutans et le S. sanguinis en réduisant leur dépôt de biofilm sur l’émail et en inhibant leur croissance. Ils empêchent aussi la production d’acides par le S. Mutans.
CA Feldens a étudié à Sao Leopoldo au Brésil, l’état dentaire des enfants âgés de 12 mois dont la mère a suivi ou non un programme de formation et de suivi sanitaire de son bébé à 10 jours, puis mensuel jusqu’à l’âge de 6 mois et ensuite à 8, 10 et 12 mois. Chez les mères et les bébés ayant eu ces consultations de suivi, le taux de caries est diminué de 48 % par rapport au groupe témoin (10,2 % vs 18,3 %). Dans le groupe d’intervention on a une moindre consommation de biscuits (p = 0,00), miel (p = 0,003), sodas (p = 0,02), fromages frais (p = 0,001), chocolat et sucreries (p = 0,001).
J Smullen a comparé l’activité antimicrobienne anti Streptocoque mutans (agent de la plaque dentaire qui aboutit à la carie) de diverses substances végétales (thé, peau du raisin, pin maritime et cacao). Les extraits de thé, de raisin et cacao ont une activité bactériostatique, préviennent la production d’acides et limitent l’adhésion du germe (au verre dans l’expérimentation in vitro). De ces diverses substances, c’est le cacao qui a l’activité la plus

A Sadeghpour et les chercheurs de la Tulane Université aux USA ont montré que la poudre de cacao contenait une substance qui renforçait la dureté de l’émail et dont l’effet était plus puissant que celui du fluor. 1) Context:
Even if oral/dental hygiene has made much progress, there remain too many children who have caries either too early in life or in over-large numbers, and who reach adolescence with diminished coefficient of masticatory effectiveness. Dentists are, therefore, interested in detecting all the factors which may encourage or protect from car caries withies.
2) The French people's opinion:
In the CREDOC survey, if you ask those who think that chocolate can cause
caries, the results are:
- totally agree 25 % of consumers, 10 % of opinion leaders and 19 % of health professionals
- mostly agree 30 % of consumers,32 % of opinion leaders and39 % of health professionals
3) How does caries occur?
The appearance of caries necessitates the coexistence of four factors, as Keys has shown:
- the lucidity and nature of the food in contact with the teeth. Experiments have shown that rats fed on a sugar-rich diet, but through a stomach tube, did not present with caries.
- the time of contact between the glucid and the tooth and the tooth is a function of its adherence to the enamel and of the time expired before brushing occurs.
- The presence of bacteria (like the “streptococcus mutans”) which will facilitate the occurrence of dental plaque by metabolising the glucids in the mouth and by producing acids which destroy the mineralised tissues of the tooth enamel. When the pH is less than 5.5, demineralisation of the enamel occurs.
- A person's heredity, which determines whether the enamel is of high or low in quality, specific salivary composition and variable local and general immunity.
4) Does chocolate encourage caries?
Edgar and Rugg-Gunn have demonstrated chocolate's low acidogenic power. Particularly by studying the quantity of dissolved enamel, Mundorff was able to classify foods according to their cariogenicity (he arbitrarily assigns Index 1 to sucrose):

The method of administration is also relevant. You can increase the quantity of sugar consumed by 30 to 330 g daily, without increasing the caries rate, provided that the sugar is absorbed during or at the end of meals. Snacking is, therefore, more harmful.
Stalfors added 2%, 5%, 10% or 20% of cocoa powder to the daily diet of hamsters. Compared to a control group, the caries rate was reduced by - 42%, - 60%, - 75% and – 84% respectively. The sugar contained in chocolate certainly encourages caries, but Paolino concluded:
“Contrary to widely-circulated opinion, it has been proven that cocoa powder has an anti-caries effect, even when it is mixed with a cariogenic substance like sugar.” These results are explainable, since cocoa paste contains three substances which have strong anti-cariogenic power:
- the polyphenols which contain 6% of the polyhydroxyphenol inhibiting the development of oral bacteria and which prevent them from attaching to the tooth enamel.
- fluoride in a concentration of 0.05mg per 100g which strengthens the enamel's resistance
- phosphates which act as a buffer against the acids formed.
R.S. Percival wished to determine the role of polyphenols as protective factors from caries after chocolate consumption. Polyphenols have an antimicrobial effect on streptococcus mutans and streptococcus sanguinis by reducing their deposit of biofilm on the enamel and by inhibiting their growth They also prevent them the streptococcus mutans from producing acids.
In Sao Leopoldo, Brazil, CA Feldens studied the state of the teeth of children aged 12 months, whose mothers had either followed or not followed a health training and follow-up programme for their babies at the age of 10 days, then monthly until the age of six months and then at eight, 10 and 12 months. With the mothers and babies who had had those follow-up consultations, the rate of caries dropped by 48% compared to the control group (10.2% v 18.3%). In the target group we have lower consumption of biscuits (p = 0,00), honey (p = 0,003), lemonades (p = 0,02), fromages frais (p = 0,001), chocolate and sweets (p = 0,001).
J Smullen compared the activity of the anti streptococcus mutans antimicrobial agent (agent of dental plaque which results in caries) of various vegetable substances (tea, grape skin, pinaster and cocoa). Extracts of tea, grapes and cocoa have a bacteriostatic action, prevent the production of acids and limit the adhesion of a germ (to glass, in in vitro experiments). Out of those various substances, it is cocoa which has the greatest

action. That of non-fermented cocoa is superior to that of fermented cocoa - it is a function of the concentration in polymerised epicatechin.
S Thaweboon studied the effect of “snack” foods on the dental plaque pH of six children aged between nine and 12. He tested a chocolate milk, a sweet biscuit, banana rice and, as a control, a 10% sucrose solution. For lowering the pH, chocolate milk is in second position, after the sweet solution and in front of the biscuit and the banana rice. Barry Callebaut has introduced a new chocolate labelled “Happy Tooth” where sucrose is replaced by isomaltulose, which is a natural ingredient of honey and cane sugar but does not have any cariogenic or laxative effects.
