[COMPANY A] relève ses prévisions de ventes annuelles
[COMPANY A] a dévoilé des ventes légèrement supérieures aux attentes pour son troisième trimestre, profitant notamment d'une demande accrue pour son médicament antigrippal [MEDICINE A] en raison de la pandémie de grippe A.

[COMPANY A] raises its annual sales predictions
[COMPANY A] has unveiled slightly higher than expected third quarter sales, notably benefiting from increased demand for its flu treatment [MEDICINE A] as a result of the swine flu pandemic.
Demand for this drug remained high in the third quarter and expectations for annual sales have been raised, to about [FIGURES] in 2009 and about [FIGURES] in 2010, according to a statement from the [CITY]-based pharmaceuticals group.
[COMPANY A] has slightly raised its predictions for the current year: it is now banking on "at least" strong single-digit growth in sales of its pharma division.
[COMPANY A] says that for the whole year, the sales progression for the two divisions is expected to be clearly above the market figure, thus confirming its target of double-digit growth in core earnings per share.
"Raising sales predictions is positive, but this is mainly down to [MEDICINE A]’s good performance", says [NAME A], analyst at [COMPANY B], criticising the weak growth of cancer treatments in the US.
Fellow analyst [NAME B], from [COMPANY C], thinks that [COMPANY A] is in a good position, and believes its growth is still healthy despite the strong influence of [MEDICINE A], and he welcomes the rapid integration of [COMPANY D].

From November 1996 to June 2004 I worked as an in-house translator at the Financial Times in London, translating articles from the Spanish and French financial press. About 60% of my translation work there was from French, the rest from Spanish. The work also involved selecting the articles, and editing the work of other translators.
