I am a qualified freelance translator and interpreter of Spanish and Portuguese into English, a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (IOL) and an associate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI).


I specialise in translation for NGOs and international organisations particularly in the fields of international development and social science. I also specialise in commercial translation, subtitling and health interpreting.


In 2010, I completed an MA in Translation and Interpreting Studies at The University of Manchester where I specialised in commercial translation, subtitling and translation for international organisations. I also hold a BA in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Bristol.


My professional experience includes working for a number of different NGOs both abroad and in the UK, and consequently this is one of my areas of expertise. This work involved the translation of a wide range of documents from Spanish and Portuguese into English, such as funding proposals, websites, annual reports and project plans. The work also included interpreting assignments and subtitling projects.


I have been resident in and made extended visits to countries where my source languages are spoken, including Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador and Spain. The time spent living in these countries enabled me to acquire an in-depth knowledge of my source cultures and languages.
