We receive an inquiry, deliver a quote, assign the work, revise the work, and deliver the final product.
It's fairly uncomplicated, superficially, however there are additional steps, such as finding appropriate resources for the translator, providing translation memories, sometimes converting materials from one format to another to facilitate work flow, etc., reconfiguring formatting and DTP details prior to delivery, testing of localized software, etc.
Also, we are always available to our clients to discuss any concerns or questions even after delivery of a product.

Prices vary according to language pair, deadline, nature of the document, and the format(s) in which documents are to be treated.
For instance, a French patent in pdf form to be translated to US English is likely to cost more than a letter in .doc format to be translated form US English to Spanish for a school. In general, our average rates are between US$0.10 and $0.12/word, but can be reduced to US$0.09 in some cases, and rise to as much as US$0.15 in others.
