The epidemic dissemination algorithm that we adopt as a basis for a search algorithm in a Gnutella-like overlay network, is inspired by the work presented in [11], which was applied to mobile ad hoc networks. The core of the epidemic dissemination algorithm is the Susceptible-Infective-Removed (SIR) infection spreading model, proposed by Kermack and McKendrick in 1927. A simplified version is the Susceptible-Infective-Susceptible (SIS) model [6]: according to it, an individual can be in two possible states: infected (i.e., an individual is infected with a disease), and susceptible (i.e., an individual can potentially get infected). In this simplified model, we do not consider the case of nodes that cannot be infected again after recovering from the disease (i.e., the recovered state) or because they disappeared from the system (i.e., they are isolated or died).
We map the model onto P2P networks, by substituting the population of individuals with the nodes of the network. A host is considered infected, if it holds a message, and susceptible, if it does not. If the message is deleted from the host, the host becomes susceptible again. The dynamics of the infectives and susceptibles in a scenario composed of N(t) active hosts can be described by means of a system of differential equations: [...]

| Translation - Polish 2.1 Model rozprzestrzeniania się infekcji

I am a bilingual speaker of Polish (native) and English (near-native) with a master degree in Translation, bachelor degree in English and almost four years of experience as a freelance translator. I have been living in the UK for over three years now.
My specialisations are Legal, Financial and Business translations. Except for my MA specialisations I am also working with IT, technical and scientific texts. During the last three years I have developed a range of specialised dictionaries which facilitate my work greatly together with my own Quality Assurance Process, which I apply to each assignment that I undertake. For more details, please visit my website: http://www.bstranslation.com/quality
I am dedicated to providing high quality language services at excellent prices. Prior to becoming a translator, I had worked as an English teacher (2005-2008) and an English tutor/translator (2008-2009). Having lived in the United Kingdom since 2008 gives me in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of English language and culture.
I have been performing a variety of language services that include:
Translation; Editing and/or Proofreading; Transcription; Transcreation; Software and Website localisation.
Having exceptionally great attention to details, I am a very scrupulous translator able to work efficiently under constant deadline pressure. Although I work best on my own initiative, I do enjoy being part of a team. My eminent people skills and hard work always made me stand out among other employees. Consequently, both my colleagues as well as customers expressed great satisfaction while working with me throughout my various employments. I am very enthusiastic about my job and I treat every single translation project with due respect and professionalism. I am highly organised, accurate, punctual as well as flexible, which gives me advantage over other translators. Having excellent research and comprehension skills ensures that each of my services is to the highest standards and of first-rate quality.
Being a constantly self-developing person, I am currently mastering touch-typing and learning Italian. In the nearest future I would like to take up learning Chinese for translation purposes.
