I have a deep insight into the culture of Spain and the Spanish people. I have lived in the Murcia region of Spain now for 5 years and for the last 2 of those I have lived with my Spanish partner. Having a Spanish partner has sharpened my awareness of the culture and language due to mixing more deeply with the Spanish than would have ever been possible if I were merely an ex-pat living abroad.

During the 5 years I have spent in Spain I have strived to learn the language attending various classes and eventually beginning study with the Open University. I am at present studying the final year of Spanish in a BA (honours) in Modern Languages but due to my own language learning and living in Spain I feel I am already at degree level in speaking.

My main specialist area is Nutrition, health and fitness, science and medical. This stems from the fact that I have studied a Masters in Nutrition and dietetics (which was carried out completely in Spanish) my own personal interests (health and fitness) and my background in science (BSc Chemistry).

Each translation I do is a new challenge and a fresh opportunity to learn new things. Every translation is different and I look forward to the challenge of expanding my knowledge base and experience, so that I may continue to give the best possible service to my customers.
