I grew up in a German-speaking household and have long had an interest in languages and writing. I have double major in German and Spanish language and literature. During my studies, I spent a year in France and two years Germany. After my degree, I taught English and German as a second language in Ecuador, South America for 6 years in a variety of institutions and universities, as well as translating and teaching privately. After this I studied French literature and language at UBC and then worked for as a QA proofreader and translator on a Nokia project for mobile games and N-Gage. In this position I was primarily responsible for translating and proofreading of German and Spanish text and sometimes French as needed. For the past few years I have been freelance translating primarily from DE to EN. I also translate from FR and ES to EN as well as from EN to DE.
