About me
Hi!

My name is Andrea Falcone. I'm a specialized molecular biologist, with a PhD in Plant biology and a specialization in molecular biodiversity.

I've studied and used many molecular techniques (ISH, cloning and PCRs, microscopy, etc) and adapted many scientific protocols, so as to verify my hypothesis.
Additionally, I'm prepared to use bioinformatics tools, to build up a database or an ontology.
As a Reputation manager and Data analyst (specialization achieved thanks to a 30-month stage at IBM) I'm able to perform a complete Sentiment analysis and investigate the buzz generated from social media, in order to minimize reputational risks and optimize corporate, brand and marketing management.

Finally, as a freelance translator since 2004 and webmaster I'm able to use specialized CATs and translation memories, such as Trados, and create a website.

Thanks to my state birth and to my training I got in touch with many different cultural
environments and people.

As biologist, data analyst and freelance translator I worked and
collaborated with several companies and executives across the world and created a stimulating
network of friends and professionals.

I have been working in multinational research labs and institutes (IBM, VIB, UNICAL, UNIBA), building
consensus and group identities, organizing scientific presentations for final examinations, meetings
and lessons for students.

I've been working with my computer since I started translating in 2004 and creating my first web
pages. I'm able to use any OS, and any software and CMS for web design and web animations
(Adobe CS4, Joomla, etc).

As a freelance translator and webmaster I learned to organize my daily work, so as to optimize time.

I've translated technical and scientific documents, such as EFSA and EMEA fact sheets, product catalogues, scientific papers, medical reports, and web sites.
