I'm an ATA (American Translators' Association) certified and Proz.com certified Italian mother-tongue translator, with degree in translation & interpreting and 13 years of experience as a freelance translator from *English* and *German* into *Italian* (my mother tongue). I'm based in Italy.
Vast experience in IT, websites and telecoms (software strings, manuals, call center management, VoIP etc.). Medical translation specialist (pharmaceuticals, medical/surgical equipment, food and agricultural safety, pharmaceutical market surveys and more). Experience in marketing (promotional documents) and market research (screeners and questionnaires etc.). Experience in tourism and yachting. Occasional jobs in gaming, audiovisual and subtitling. Technology enthusiast with both Mac and Win systems.

Through the years I have worked as a freelance translator for about 100 agencies, bureaus and clients worldwide (English/German to Italian; med/pharma, IT/telecom) as well as for the bodies of the European Union (English to Italian - medical/pharma, food and agricultural safety).

I have recently turned into a company/team of translators called IT PROS snc but my inspirational attitude has not changed. It is always me who takes care of each of the translation assignments. So everything happens under the normal freelance terms. When the client requests a 4 eye service or bulk volumes, the company either supplies translation carried out by myself and editing by a second independent linguist or translation by an external translator and editing by myself. So I am always personally involved in each of the projects and responsible for quality assurance. IT PROS is therefore NOT intended as an agency, rather a quality and detail oriented translation studio that is based on the concepts that have accompanied and inspired me in my long standing career as a freelancer i.e. top service, reliability, professionalism!
