WTS Translations is owned and operated by Nikolaj D. Widenmann, a trilingual translator, interpreter, and writer. Nikolaj was raised in Denmark by a Danish mother and an American father. That environment equipped him with full-fledged bilingual capabilities and a natural adaptability to and an awareness of the intricacies of other cultures, a key element in the field of translating and interpreting. As an adult he acquired native level Spanish, a language he uses professionally, in the community, and in the home.

Nikolaj holds a BA in English from San Diego State University with a minor in Spanish and a Certificate in Applied Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language. He is certified by the American Translators Association (ATA) as a Danish into English translator, and he is certified by the United States Courts and the Utah States courts as a Spanish/English court interpreter with frequent court interpreting assignments at hearings, trials, etc. He further maintains memberships with the American Translators Association (ATA) and the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT).
