About me

Native Russian speaker with near-native English. Full-time professional translator since 1987 doing about 500,000 words annually. Qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, UK since February 2005. Solid reputation for reliability, quality, accuracy, responsiveness and speed, with some of my existing regular clients dating back to mid-2000s.

N.B. Personally, I work into Russian only. Translations from Russian into English will be handled by my partners residing in relevant countries.

· Average daily throughput is 2,000-2,500 words. For larger projects with tight deadlines I am in a position to set up a project team comprising seasoned language professionals (translators/editors/proofreaders/DTP experts).
· Rush jobs will carry a 30%-100% surcharge, to be agreed on a case-by-case basis.
· PowerPoint presentations, PDF files (if the original formatting is to be reproduced), and handwritten documents will carry a 20% surcharge for extra time and effort involved.
· Proofreading/editing/reviewing services will be charged either per word, or by the hour, to be agreed on a case-by-case basis.
· Glossary development and other auxiliary services will be charged by the hour.


1. Never accept a translation job you do not have the time or skills for.
2. Work into your mother tongue only.
3. Meet the agreed deadlines. Period.
4. Serve more than you sell.
5. Remember your customers, not just your transactions.
6. You are only as good as your last job.
