As a native English speaker holding a bachelor's degree in linguistics from Boston University, I am confident my language skills will be an asset for your project. By studying Mandarin, Russian, and computer science as an undergraduate, I am predisposed to the challenges that translators face when crossing natural and artificial language barriers. My TEFL certificate has enabled me to deliver English training courses to students of all ages at varying skill levels. In addition, my previous experiences translating business-related documents, both technical and non-technical, for Chinese companies have helped me establish a solid foundation for this position. It is with these experiences I know I can excel in this role and quickly become a key contributor.
As a newbie to Proz, I am eager to discover the possibilities that await. I am looking for another avenue in which to develop and place my mark on the translation community. No matter the challenge, I am willingly face it head on.
Feel free to send me a buzz via Proz messaging.
