About ink viscosity and time of flight
Precise placement of drops is dependent on the speed and amount of deflection of the drops as they travel between the deflector plates. For this reason, the printer constantly monitors the time of flight (TOF) of the drops and compares it with the optimum (TOF Reference) value. The ink pressure is increased or decreased, thus maintaining the correct speed of drops for accurate placement and quality of print.

Acerca de la viscosidad de la tinta y el tiempo de vuelo
La colocación precisa de las gotas depende de la velocidad y cantidad de desviación de las gotas cuando viajan entre las placas de desviación. Por este motivo, la impresora supervisa de modo constante el tiempo de vuelo o TOF (siglas en inglés) de las gotas y lo compara con el valor óptimo (referencia de TOF). La presión de la tinta aumenta o disminuye, con lo que se mantiene así la velocidad correcta de las gotas para garantizar una colocación exacta y una buena calidad de impresión.
