About me

"If I'm selling to you, I speak your language. If I'm buying, dann müssen Sie Deutsch sprechen" - Willy Brandt, Chancellor of West Germany 1969 – 1974 and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1971

With an average daily output of 3,500 words (technical, general medical, and automotive field) I am one of the fastest translators you will find in today's market. My end clients include names such as Motorola, Philips, General Motors and Volvo, and the agencies I collaborated with on these translations count among my returning clients. As a full-time freelancer, I am available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (just send me an SMS and I'll go online to state my availability and/or collect the files wherever I am).

I am an advanced (and fully licensed) SDL TRADOS 2006/7 user with a couple more CATs in my bag, and more than happy to undertake (and complete) the seemingly impossible - I'm quite comfortable with a 24-hour deadline for 5,000 words worth of text. As an added bonus, I'm married to a graphic designer - which means you can take advantage of our family one-stop-shop and arrange for translation/localization AND DTP/web design services at freelance, instead of agency prices.

My fees range from 0.05 to 0.08 EUR per source word, the latter being maximum I am ever to charge for urgent translations; I am less likely to accept translations under 1,000 words but if I do, I charge a flat fee of 20 EUR per document.

Feel free to browse my list of references and check my professional credibility - you wouldn't want your company's repute in the hands of an untried translator... would you?
