I have been a freelance translator since completing my MA in Technical & Specialised Translations at the University of Westminster in 2001. In that time I have focused on IT and medical translations. I am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
In addition to being a qualified translator, I have designed several websites and have the following IT certifications:
My psychiatric/pharmaceutical experience was gained over a 14 year period during which I worked with one of the largest psychiatric healthcare trusts in London and directly at the Institute of Psychiatry. I initially started as an audio secretary, typing patient notes and files, and eventually became a part-time e-learning resource developer for 5 post-graduate courses offered at the Institute.
