About me
ABOUT LARISA ZLATIC LANGUAGE SERVICES


For over 15 years, I have successfully worked on translation and interpretation projects for pharmaceutical, medical, financial and high-tech companies in the United States and abroad, and for U.S. and state government agencies. I translate from English into Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin and Macedonian and from these languages into English. All translations are edited by qualified, independent editors. I also have a team for other Slavic languages.

I have a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Belgrade, Serbia.

My work experience covers banking, investments, and the medical and pharmaceutical fields, in addition to software and website localization.
In the medical field, I have direct work experience in clinical trials’ data management. I worked for a CRO, and I am familiar with the procedures and terminology of international clinical trial studies.

I have extensive experience managing large translation projects, where I coordinate the work of multiple translators working in different languages. I understand and have personally completed as well as supervised, all steps in such projects, such as forward and back translation, editing, back-editing, and proofreading. In addition, I can offer linguistic review and validation of translations.


LANGUAGE TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT


I am an official OPI/ILR Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian language tester for ACTFL.
I have been teaching Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian both at the university level and for private and government organizations and individuals. I have designed my own online Serbian language course and use my own materials for teaching.
