Przypomniał sobie, że niespełna rok temu, w pierwszą noc powstania, gdy zameldował się przed nim łącznik, młodziutki, blady chłopak z biało-czerwoną opaską, wtedy – pamiętał skurcz ścisnął mu krtań. Tamta biało-czerwień fosforyzowała niemal na wątłym ramieniu chłopca, była wyrazem żywej, silnej, zatykającej dech w piersiach rzeczywistości. It must have happened like that, but it did not tug at his heartstrings.
