Experience in web- and database localization, expert in HTML, can work with graphics and take some DTP work as well.
Business translation knowledge, including supported by an MBA in International Management degree, with focus on strategy and finance.
Can work with Trados, FrameMaker, can generate PDF files, too.
I am a member of MENSA.

I am a published author both in Hungary and in Japan.
List of publications is attached to my resume.

See comments from some of my clients at the bottom of this page.

- MBA in International Management (Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management, Arizona, USA)
Experience:
8 years in Japan, working for a US company's Tokyo branch, doing electrical engineering related work: instrument control, test and measurement, software, hardware. Job included technical support, customer training, website development, writing articles for trade magazines - all in Japanese. Software and database localization, editing, proofreading, occasionally interpreting from English to Japanese and vice versa.
Discussing quality issues with Japanese customers and communicating them to the US R&D department.
Translating marketing material, presentations, technical info for the Hungarian distributors.
Freelancer since 2001.
Sample translations are available here in my portfolio. Additional samples and references are available upon request.

I asked some of my clients:
"Why did you choose me from the pool of applicants (there were 14 bids for this Japanese-English job)?"
"I graded each submitted sample (yours had no errors), then scored CV's (giving points for engineering or medical device background), and then ranked the highest graded and highest scored according to price. You won.
Thank you for your prompt performance, hopefully we will work together again."

Direct client: Medical device manufacturer, France

"How did you find me?"
"I found you through ProZ.com. The reason I picked you was multi-faceted: the number of KudoZ points you had, your technical skills with computers/TRADOS, and also through the initial conversations I had with you - your communication style conveys that you will be easy to work with. This last one is fairly subjective - I just had a hunch.
Thanks again for your hard work. It was a pleasure working with you -- we'll definitely keep you in mind for any future Hungarian translation projects."

Direct client: The World's biggest fast food company, USA, regarding a large English to Hungarian translation of a complete management training course

Other post-project comments from clients:
"Thanks a million, you are a life saver. Everything looks good."
US translation agency, regarding a Japanese to English rush job

"Got the files - thank you so much!
Everything looks good and we were able to crank out the DTP issues in a matter of minutes. I think I am going to like working with you on these (and there are more coming up from this client!)"

US translation agency, regarding a large Japanese to English technical job

"As I mentioned before we think that the translator did a very good job and I hope we can enjoy more of such translations in the near future."

"Just heard back from the customer. They were very pleased with the translation."
