- Building and flying radio-controlled balsa glider models in my youth: cutter marks on fingertips still visible
- Open-water PADI-certified diver (passed in Australia)
- Driving licences from motorbikes to 44t lorries: epic journeys with various means of transportation
- 10-year horseriding experience (passed "1er degré", aka "bronze spur"): my largest plaster ever worn, from shoulder to waist
- Casual runner: half-marathon practice currently close to zilch. Distance personal best is 1h52 (I don't do it for the money).
- Hibernation record (1992): 26h30min of continuous, peaceful, solid sleep after a few physically exhausting weeks (army conscript). Now with much more white hair, I have given up trying to beat it.
