I have more than ten years experience of working as a translator, both as a freelancer and as an employee of the European Parliament.

I have been using the Trados CAT tools from the outset. However, these are only an aid and I never use them mechanically, as my constant goal is to produce natural and idiomatic Swedish translations that read like originals.

My areas of specialization include the following:

* Finance and investment (stock market reports, fund brochures, investment related information)

* Marketing (sales material, copy, customer magazines, internal magazines)

* European Union (reports from the ECB, regulations, decisions and directives from the Commission and protocols from the European Parliament)

* Tourism (brochures, web sites)

* Company reports (annual and quarterly reports, environmental reports)

I have also completed a number of book projects, including the following:

* "Handbags" by Anna Johnson. A book on the history and cultural significance of handbags. From English into Swedish.

* "Wein" - a 900 p worldwide atlas of wines and winemaking from German into Swedish.
