2. Shovel Operation
The shovels primary purpose on a mine is to remove overburden and in some cases load minerals, such as coal.
Digging is accomplished by coordinating the three main motions:
• Hoist
• Crowd
• Swing
The hoist motion pulls the dipper upward through the bank. The crowd motion moves the dipper handle out or in to control the depth of cut and to position the dipper over the dumping position. The swing motion rotates the shovel between the digging and dumping positions.
The propel motion is also provided to move the shovel from one digging position to another.
The digging cycle consists of four distinct phases:
• Digging phase
• Swinging phase
• Dumping phase
• Returning phase
2.1. Digging Phase
This portion of the digging cycle involves crowding the dipper into the bank, hoisting to fill the dipper, and retracting the dipper from the bank. A proper balance of crowd and hoist motions is essential to efficient and productive digging.
2.2. Swinging Phase
This phase begins when the dipper is clear of the bank vertically and horizontally. The operator controls the position of the dipper through a planned swing path and dump height until the dipper is positioned over the haul truck.
2.3. Dumping Phase
This phase begins before the loaded dipper passes over the end of the haul truck and finishes when the swing motion stops and reverses direction to return the dipper to the bank. During the dumping phase, the operator trips open the dipper door to dump the load while controlling the dump height to avoid injury to mine personnel and damage to the truck bed especially during the first load.
2.4. Returning Phase

2. Принцип работы одноковшового экскаватора.
Основное назначение карьерных экскаваторов — выемка пород вскрыши и, в некоторых случаях, погрузка полезных ископаемых, например, угля.
Процесс экскавации включает три основных согласованных режима движения:
1) подъем;
2) напорное движение;
3) поворот.
При первом режиме ковш экскаватора движется вверх по отвалу. Во втором режиме рукоять ковша выдвигается или вдвигается для выбора необходимой глубины резания и для установки ковша в положение для выгрузки. Третий режим перемещает ковш между двумя рабочими положениями экскаватора: для выгрузки и черпания.
Существует также четвертый режим для перемещения всего экскаватора в новое рабочее положение.
Цикл экскавации состоит из четырех фаз:
1) черпание;
2) поворот;
3) выгрузка;
4) возврат.
2.1 Фаза черпания
Эта фаза включает напорное движение ковша, заполнение ковша движением вверх и увод ковша. Для эффективной работы экскаватора важно правильно сбалансировать первые два действия.
2.2 Фаза поворота
Данная фаза начинается, когда ковш оказывается вне отвала, как по вертикали, так и по горизонтали. Экскаваторщик должен контролировать положение ковша на протяжении всего поворотного движения стрелы и высоту опрокидывания ковша, пока последний не окажется в нужном положении над грузовым автомобилем.
2.3 Фаза выгрузки
Эта фаза начинается до того, как заполненный ковш проходит над краем грузовика, и заканчивается по завершении поворотного движения стрелы, когда направление ее движения меняется на противоположное для возврата ковша в исходное положение. В течение фазы выгрузки экскаваторщик расцепляет фиксатор откидного днища, чтобы выгрузить ковш, контролируя при этом высоту разгрузки, что необходимо во избежание травматизма персонала и повреждения платформы грузовика, особенно при первой погрузке.
2.4 Фаза возврата

ВАРИАЦИОННЫЕ МЕТОДЫ ИССЛЕДОВАНИЯ ЗАДАЧ ДИНАМИКИ ТВЕРДЫХ ТЕЛ С ЖИДКОСТЬЮ

Теория движения твердых тел, целиком или частично заполненных жидкостью, представляющая собой важный раздел механики деформируемых систем, широко используется при решении целого ряда прикладных задач. В первую очередь это относится к комплексу проблем, возникающих при создании современных транспортных средств, перевозящих большие массы жидких грузов. К таким проблемам относятся определение силового взаимодействия железнодорожной цистерны и частично заполняющей ее жидкости, исследование на прочность емкостей с экологически опасными жидкостями в сейсмически опасных районах, исследование устойчивости и создание эффективных систем управления объектами аэрокосмической и морской техники и др.

VARIATIONAL METHODS TO SOLVE DYNAMIC PROBLEMS FOR FLUID-CONTAINING BODIES
Introduction. The theory of motion of bodies fully or partially filled with a fluid, which is an important division of the mechanics of deformable systems, is widely used to solve a large variety of applied problems. These are primarily problems that arise in designing modern vehicles for transportation of large amounts of fluid. Such problems include the determination of the mechanical interaction of a tank car and the fluid partially filling it, strength analysis of vessels with environmentally hazardous fluids in seismic areas, stability analysis and development of efficient control systems for air/space/sea craft, etc.
This paper is concerned only with the dynamic behavior of systems consisting of a perfectly rigid body and a perfect incompressible fluid. The formulations of analogous problems for a body interacting with an internal or external fluid are detailed in [7, 13, 15, etc.].
The mathematical models of the mechanical systems being considered here are based on the nonlinear equations of motion of the body and the nonlinear equations of waves on the free surface of the finite fluid. Scientists and research teams working in this area of mechanics directed their efforts toward overcoming the chief difficulty of the theory—the necessity of describing the coupled motions of two essentially different objects: a body and a fluid.
The motion of a rigid body is known to be described by nonlinear ordinary differential equations, whereas the description of the wave motions of a free liquid surface involves the formulation and solution of nonlinear initial–boundary-value problems for partial differential equations.
Back in the 1950 and 60s, researchers preferred the so-called modal approach in developing linear mathematical models to describe the coupled motions of a body–fluid system. This approach makes it possible to reduce the analysis of the coupled motions of the mechanical system in question to the analysis of a standard mathematical object—an infinite system of ordinary differential equations. |
