I am a highly qualified native Italian with a proficient level of English and excellent translation skills. I have 8 years’ experience of translation and samples of my work can be obtained upon request. I am a resident of Abu Dhabi (UAE) since September 2008, after having relocated from London, where I lived and worked for over 10 years.
I am a Member of the Institute of Linguists (MCIL) and I am listed on the official Translators’ directory of the General Consulate of Italy in London and the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
I have 6-year experience as in-house translator for a Research & Investment company in Surrey, England (UK). Consequently, my knowledge and vocabulary of this type of business environment is extensive and this assists my translating technical documents with ease. You will also see that I have a degree in Italian and Humanities, therefore my ability to translate documents extends to the non-technical field, as well as to proofreading skills.
I have worked as a freelance translator and interpreter for several engineers and architects firms in London, around England and in Abu Dhabi.
I have very good experience in web interfaces and taxonomy projects, transcripts and subtitling and also in meetings, conference calls, local authorities, simultaneous (for major TV, media & advertising productions) and over the phone interpreting.
