There are 5 main pump sets in total working as 3 duty and 2 standby. The main pumps are XXXXX axial piston pumps.
Each main pump is mounted via a bellhousing and flexible drive coupling onto an electric motor and is located on a baseframe. Each motor/pump set is mounted to the baseframe on anti-vibration pads .
The XXXXX pump's pressure compensating valve and maximum flow rate setting are accessible for adjustment while the pump is on the baseframe. Adjustments to the pump compensator setting should only be carried out by trained personnel.
Each pump draws fluid from the reservoir via a suction isolation valve and flexible coupling. The suction valve has an integral limit switch to indicate the state of the valve. This signal is interlocked with the pump start circuit in the controls.
Each main pump is fitted with bearing flushing. The flushing fluid is supplied from the conditioning system via an isolation valve and a flow control orifice.
Each main pump has an unloading manifold The unloading manifold is fitted with a relief valve which is energised to pressurise the system, a pressure filter to condition the fluid, and a check valve to prevent reverse flow of fluid into the manifold. A pressure switch and test points are provided for monitoring the system and fault finding.

Each of the four sensor heads, which are attached to the vehicle's wheels by means of special clamps is equipped with two CCD cameras for infrared measurement and data transmission without the use of cables.
Measurement takes place by means of an infrared light beam which is projected through the optical system on to a light-sensitive cell. The camera's maximum resolution is 0.5 second of angle. Ail measurements in the horizontal plane are determined by two opposed CCD cameras working together (transmit/ receive).
A special feature of this CCD camera measuring system is the identical resolution (to an accuracy of 0.5 second of angle) for the horizontal and the vertical plane.
Measurement data is transfered by means of radio waves to the PC. This system makes it possible to simultaneously operate up to four wheel alignment computers. The run out compensation is activated at the sensor head keyboard, runout is automatically displayed on the screen for each wheel.
Integrated batteries can be recharged in the charging unit of the equipment cabinet; or they can optionally be replaced by a second set of batteries.
