New Size 8 Non Captive Linear Actuator
XXX Inc. is pleased to introduce a Size 8 non captive linear actuator, latest addition to its growing hybrid motor line. Equipment designers and engineers now have an even more compact option for their linear motion applications. The new size 8 linear actuator occupies a minimal 0.8" (21 mm) space and includes numerous patent pending innovations that provide customers high performance and endurance in a very small package. In fact, XXX's new size 8 is by far the smallest commercially available hybrid linear actuator on the market today.
In the non captive linear actuator design, the lead screw runs axially through the center of the motor and must be restrained from rotating for proper operation. This is normally accomplished by attaching the screw to a non rotating member of the mechanical assembly. As the internal threaded rotor rotates the lead screw will move axially but will not rotate. This design is especially suited for long linear travel requirements and applications where the lead screw is secured at both ends and the motor translates along the lead screw. When incorporating the latter approach, the motor must be prevented from rotating.
This non captive hybrid linear actuator is available 'in a wide variety of resolutions ranging from 0.0015 mm to 0.04 mm per step and delivers thrusts of up to 10 lbs. (4.5 Kg) without compromising long life or cost. Built for long life (several million cycles!) and superior performance, the size 8 linear actuator features engineering thermoplastics 'in the rotor drive nut and a stainless steel Acme lead screw, which have made the XXX products so popular. With this patented design, quiet and maintenance free operation are
ensured.

Damit steht den Ingenieuren und Geräteentwicklern jetzt eine noch kompaktere Option im Linearantriebsbereich zur Verfügung. Der Linear-Stellantrieb in der neuen Baugröße 8 benötigt nur einen minimalen Querschnitt von 0.8" (21 mm) und enthält viele zum Patent angemeldete Verbesserungen, die den Kunden eine hohe Leistung bei gleichzeitig langer Lebensdauer in einem sehr kleinen Bauteil bringen. Das neue XXX-Bauteil ist zur Zeit der kleinste auf dem kommerziellen Markt verfügbare Linear-Stellantrieb mit Hybridmotor.
Bei Linear-Stellantrieben ohne Drehmomentstütze läuft die Antriebsspindel axial durch die Mittelachse des Motors, wobei für die ordnungsgemäße Funktion verhindert werden muss, dass sich die Spindel mitdreht. Dies wird normalerweise dadurch erreicht, dass die Spindel mit einem nicht rotierenden Bauteil der umgebenden Konstruktion verbunden wird. Wenn der Spindelantriebsrotor sich dreht, bewegt sich die Spindel axial, dreht sich aber nicht mit. Dieses Design eignet sich besonders für Anwendungen, bei denen eine lange lineare Bewegung benötigt wird und für Anwendungen, bei denen die Spindel auf beiden Seiten befestigt ist und sich der Motor entlang der Spindel bewegt. Bei der zuletzt genannten Anwendungsvariante muss verhindert werden, dass sich der Motor um sich selbst drehen kann.
Dieser Linear-Stellantrieb ohne Drehmomentstütze ist in verschiedenen Steuerschrittauflösungen im Bereich von 0,0015 mm bis 0,04 mm pro Schritt und einer Schubkraft von bis zu 4,5 Kg erhältlich, ohne dabei Kompromisse in Bezug auf Lebensdauer oder Kosten einzugehen. XXX differs by 13 amino acids from palivizumab. Preclinical data from the cotton rat model of RSV infection demonstrate that XXX has 50-100 times the activity against RSV compared to palivizumab in the lower respiratory tract. In addition, comparison studies have shown that equivalent serum levels of approximately 20 g/mL of XXX and palivizumab result in a 2-log10 reduction of RSV versus only ~0.5 log10-reduction, respectively, of RSV in the upper respiratory tract of the cotton rat. Based on these data, the expectation is that XXX will be at least as effective as palivizumab and potentially more effective for the prevention of serious RSV disease. This hypothesis is currently being tested in the Phase 3 study, YYYY, a randomized double-blind, palivizumab-controlled trial comparing the safety and efficacy of XXX to liquid palivizumab when administered to premature infants and children with chronic lung disease (CLD) of prematurity; two populations known to be at high risk for serious RSV disease. Children with hemodynamically significant congenital heart disease (CHD) are also a population known to be at high risk for serious RSV disease. This study will describe the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity of XXX in children with hemodynamically significant CHD. The study is designed as a double-blind, active-controlled, randomized trial, with the liquid formulation of palivizumab as the control for safety. My main services can be grouped in the following categories: My experience can be grouped in the the following categories: Document Translation I have translated documents of all sizes, ranging from short 1 pagers up to user manuals with > 1500 pages and from handwritten medical charts and personal letters, faxed PDF documents, Excel, InDesign and Framemaker files to MS Powerpoint or just plain MS Word or RTF files. Please note that format is as important an influence on pricing as content. I'm therefore not in a position to give you a binding quote for a translation without having seen and evaluated the final source text. Just send me your source text, and I’ll get back to you with a quote as soon as possible. Software & Web Localization Software & Web localization tasks are in my opinion the most underestimated tasks in the realm of translation. I very often get offers to translate alphabetically sorted lists of software UI strings in, for example Excel format. For me, it is obvious that this cannot work, the result would be GIGO - Garbage In - Garbage Out. The translator/localizer needs contextual information. For example it is important to know the location of a string on the screen in order to know how much space is available for the translation. Similarly, an appropriate translation may differ according to the text in which the string is embedded. I have survived/completed the localization of various large software projects (some > 300,000 words including error messages) in various formats, from strings in an Access database, strings in various resource file formats to strings hidden directly in Java code. The same applies to the translation/localization of Web pages, where I have managed localization projects from plain HTML pages to projects that required knowledge of CMS-Systems such as Typo3 or Joomla. If you want to involve me in a localization project, be it a software or a web project, get me involved as early as possible. Avoiding certain errors will decrease the cost of the project and increase the likelihood for its success dramatically. Localized subtitling Subtitling can’t be learned from books. You have to actually do it.
The existing different subtitling rules and guidelines for any given project are usually conflicting, so the best subtitle is usually the best compromise. Editing & Proofreading Although many people use the terms interchangeably, editing and proofreading are two different stages of the revision process. Both demand close and careful reading, but they focus on different aspects of the writing and employ different techniques. Bad translations might be humorous on a T-shirt, but they’re embarrassing and costly when they show up on your website or marketing materials. Avoid the uncertainty. Send me the translation and the original document. I will let you know if it needs to be reworked. If not, I'll confirm that your text is ready to go with a QA report and will only charge a nominal fee. If your translation requires improvement, a QA report specifying the problems and a quote will be submitted for your approval.
