Die Kinderkrebshilfe Mainz e.V. wurde von Kinderärzten des Zentrums für Kinder- und Jugendmedizin der Universitätsmedizin und weiteren Mainzer Hochschulmedizinern und Wissenschaftlern der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz gegründet. Der gemeinnützige Verein sieht seine Aufgabe in der optimalen Betreuung und Versorgung krebskranker Kinder und ihrer Angehörigen. The Children’s Cancer Aid of Mainz was founded by paediatricians of the centre for paediatric care at the Mainz academic teaching hospital in collaboration with other medical doctors active in an academic setting in Mainz as well as scientists of the Johannes Gutenberg University. This non-profit organisation’s mission is to ensure the best possible care for children afflicted with cancer, as well as for their families. It is particularly dedicated to advancing research for the sake of improving therapy options and ultimately increasing the chances of curing cancer in children and adolescents.
