July electrical sheet surcharges jump $180/s.t in US
Two US mills have announced electrical steel surcharges for July shipments, continuing an upward pricing trend.
X's electrical sheet surcharge has risen to $820/short ton ($41/cwt) for all products shipped in July, Y has learned. This is an increase of $180/s.t from $640/s.t for June shipments and a 257% increase from January’s surcharge of $230/s.t.
Z's July surcharge for grain-oriented electrical steel will be $900/s.t ($45/cwt), also an increase of $180/s.t from $720/s.t for June shipments. The surcharge has risen 129% since January when it was $393/s.t. | Translation - Turkish
