About me

As an Englishman who has lived and worked in Brazil since 2000, I offer high quality English<>Portuguese translations at competitive prices and also work as a professional interpreter.

My academic background is in Philosophy and Portuguese, however due to personal interests and numerous work opportunities I have become well acquainted with various different fields, including oil & gas, law, cinema and mechanical and electrical engineering.

I am accredited as a professional translator (Portuguese to English) by ABRATES (Brazilian Translators' Association) and also an approved member of SINTRA (Brazilian Translators' Union - associated to FIT).

In 2004 I opened my translation company, Quesco Brasil, based in Rio de Janeiro and since then have gathered an extensive clientele and formed a team of translators to provide services for various other languages, including Spanish, German, Dutch and French.
