It is a 7 :30 minutes looped video in which I drive a taxi in Manhattan at night. The video is quite eventless, I don't take passengers, only drive around trying to look like a cool taxidriver. I don't know how to drive, so I set up a steering wheel in the passengerseat so that it looked like I was doing the driving. While shooting the video, I mixed between having a driver drive the car, and having the car towed by a truck, without this being shown in the filming. I got the idea for the video from Martin Scorseses Taxidriver and I try to be like Robert de Niro is when he is driving around. I also used a particular soundtrack from the film as background for my driving. In the film this soundtrack is the background for Travis' (Robert de Niro's) monologue where he builds up to the climax of the film where he kills lots of people. I used this beautiful music by Bernhard Herrmann because I wanted to create a tense atmosphere. It works like a build up to something fatal, as it does in the original Taxi Driver, but in my film it is a build up to something that is never happening as I do nothing in my video than driving around in a loop. | Translation - French

One reference may call a painting by one name, while another will choose something quite different. Keep this in mind as you explore these listings. For example, if you're interested in Zouave portraits, you would likely search near the very end of the listings. If you did, you would only find one: "Zouave (Half Length)". "Hey, wait a minute! I know that Van Gogh produced six Zouave portraits." He did. The second is called "Seated Zouave" and can be found under the "S" listings, while the third is called "Portrait of Milliet, Second Lieutenant of the Zouaves" in the Portrait listings.
