| Ahmed Ahmed endorses ProZ.com's Professional Guidelines. |
Hello, and thank you for visiting. I am Ahmed Ahmed - a full-time professional translator specializing in translating English into my native Arabic. You can count on me to deliver your messages with precision and clarity, as I have been in the translation field for more than ten years.
I enjoy my work; it’s my job to help people all over the world communicate their unique, varied messages to the Arab world. As you probably know, there is nothing quite so valuable in communicating messages and relaying information as the written word. No matter what message you need to convey, it is vital that you do so flawlessly in order to capture your intended audience’s attention. I specialize in producing natural Arabic-language texts that read like native writing rather than like confusing, poorly-worded translations. The translations I provide never sound foreign or seem stilted to native Arabic speakers; as a result you’ll more rapidly gain your readers’ trust.
My mission is simple: To make your copy look as good in Arabic as it does in your own language. I always ensure that the messages entrusted to me have the desired impact upon the sender’s target market. Your message receives my personal attention. As my professional reputation relies upon your success, I take my business relationship with you seriously.
My practical skills and experience are built upon a solid foundation of sound training and education. I studied to post-graduate level, gaining a Higher Diploma and BA degrees in English. These degrees were obtained from the prestigious University of Ain Shams, Cairo, Egypt.
I offer a comprehensive range of language-related services, including translation, localization, transcreation, brand name analysis, subtitling, proofreading, editing, analyzing content, and copywriting. When you select me to translate your documents or handle any other language related needs, you benefit from my Arabic language writing skills, which are excellent.
My work and travel experiences have taken me through a number of Arab countries. With the expertise I have gained through the years, I possess the unique ability of ensuring that the Arabic text I provide for you is perfectly optimized - either for all Arab audiences, or for a localized group such as the Egyptian market or an audience within the Gulf region.
Over the years, I have gained a broad base of experience in a wide variety of fields including but not limited to:
- Information Technology
- Communications and Telecommunications
- Marketing and advertising
- Human resources
- Public relations
- Human rights
- Tourism and travel
- Journalism and news reporting
- Cinema and TV
- Law and Legal translation
- Food and fine cuisine
- Fashion, beauty, and cosmetics
- Letters for business and interpersonal communication
- Religion and spirituality
- Sports and games
If you need assistance with translation on any topic, including one you do not see listed above, please feel free to contact me. In the event I am unable to assist you, it is very likely that I can help you find your way to someone who can.
My work is completed in accordance with the EN 15038:2006 European Quality Standard for Translation Services. I begin this intensive process by checking my own work. This includes comparing the source and target texts; checking the spelling, grammar and consistency of the technical terms used; confirming that the register of language is correct, and addressing any style issues.
Once this procedure has been completed, I send my translation work in for review by a qualified partner – a second professional Arabic translator. This is a value-added service that is provided totally free-of-charge. You may send my translation to your own proofreader later if you wish; however, I have all my translation work reviewed by a second set of eyes before being sent to the client. Again, I do not add any surcharge for the proofreading service.
Each translation I provide is handled with great care, and translations are carried out only after thorough terminology research. By proceeding with an eye toward quality throughout the translation process as well as throughout the proofreading process, I achieve consistent, dependable results. I strive for 100% error-free service and I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. That means that you do not pay me until you are one hundred percent satisfied with the service I have provided.
As source text is sometimes highly complex or requires special formatting, some Arabic translations require longer completion times than others. However, as a general guideline you can expect an average output of 2000 to 3000 words per day.
I will happily carry out translation tests of no more than 250 words. I accept these tests free of charge as a courtesy to you.
Translation errors can be costly and lose you readership. While some translators make the mistake of producing poor-quality translations, I am not one of those people. I accept only jobs which I am absolutely certain I can complete with quality results; furthermore, deadlines are as important to me as they are to you. If I cannot complete a task in a timely manner, I will not accept it. If your request falls outside the sphere of my expertise, I will do my utmost to aid you in locating a competent Arabic translator to complete your project to satisfaction.
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance; I understand this and maintain a strict policy of never discussing material verbally or in writing with anyone other than parties directly involved in your translation transaction. However, I will be happy to sign a brief Non-Disclosure Agreement if required.
Rates for Arabic translation are determined by complexity, urgency, subject matter, and format. I usually charge per word; editing or proofreading is charged by the hour. Please contact me via e-mail, Yahoo Messenger or a Proz message to discuss potential translation projects and for a free quote. As all projects are unique, rates are quoted on a per-project basis.
I offer an excellent price to quality ratio; however, if your budget is not structured to accommodate quoted fees, Google Translate offers Arabic translations for free. One caveat; just as amateur translators often provide inaccurate, low-quality results, so do free online translation services. If you have an important message to send, it is best to entrust that message to an experienced professional.
After we agree to terms including cost and deadline, I will begin work. Rest assured that I consistently deliver all translations in a timely fashion. I am proud to say that in over 10 years of translation work, I have never missed a deadline.
Since becoming a freelance translator, I have worked for many government agencies including The Electricity & Cogeneration Regulatory Authority (ECRA) and Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC). Other international companies/organizations include Siemens, Unilever, Blossom Mother and Child, Maaii, P C Richardson, American Aires Inc., TrueConf (Conferendo), Futureco Bioscience, mondo*dr magazine, DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability, ask.fm, Infectious Diseases of Poverty Journal, and Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders).
