A major part of this research concerns assessing the benefits the nursery placement has for the children and the parents involved. To measure the benefits the programme has for the children, we will be assessing children shortly before they begin their preschool placement and again at the end of the school year. This will be done using standard assessment tools by trained research staff who have enhanced disclosure clearance. We are also asking parents to complete short questionnaires on their children’s behaviour, on the daily hassles of parenting and on their own well-being, in order to evaluate possible programme benefits to parents. One of our researchers will be there to help parents fill out the questionnaires, for example read out the questions, if required. Similar to the child assessments, we would be asking you to complete these questionnaires at the beginning and at the end of your child’s school year. | Translation - Chinese

Therapeutically speaking, psychology can help us deal with psychological pressure and obstacles in daily life, which in turn is able to convert our depression into benevolent motivation.
In terms of education and understanding of ourselves, psychoanalysis enables us to acquire self-confidence, motivate our creatively, hence actualise the growth and maturation of our personality.
Psychoanalysis is also able to help towards our understanding of the self, in terms of the unification of our conscious and unconscious minds, hence gain a real sense of self-actualisation.
