I have been a freelance translator, interpreter and teacher since 2005. I had offered the same skills since 1996 on a less formal basis while also working as a teacher for children with special needs.

I became familiar with the Swiss-German dialect during a 15-year period (1974-1989) in southern Germany. I have lived for a number of years in Austria. My first qualification was in physiotherapy and my second in social work. I hold a BSc in psychology, have worked with disadvantaged children and been involved in developing children's board games. I also worked with adults suffering mental illnesses for over 10 years. My active involvement in feminist, local and regional politics fine-tuned my German language and debating skills to the extent that I was able to chair the Green Party regional group for the Lake Constance area.
