Freelance translator and interpreter - FR<>IT, EN, DE>IT

My mother tongue is Italian.

I studied at the University for Interpreters and Translators in Triest where I obtained the BA degree (Scienze della mediazione linguistica: English, German and French) in 2004 and the MA degree in conference interpreting (with specialization in German and French) in 2007. I obtained the summa cum laude in both degrees.

I spent the last year of university in Germany (University of Germersheim), where I could improve my knowledge of German and wrote my thesis on Nuclear energy.

After finishing university I have been working in a company as an assistant export manager for some months: this allowed me to acquire some experience in the translation of commercial texts (company profiles, brochures, business letters and contracts) as well as in liaison interpreting.

I've worked as an in-house translator and interpreter at an (agency in Germany for two months (February-March 2008), translating mainly technical and commercial texts from German into Italian.

From November 2008 to July 2011 I've worked as an in-house translator for a Web portal promoting tourism in the Dolomites.

I've been working as a freelance translator and interpreter since september 2007. My experience as an interpreter regards mainly agriculture, social themes, energy and the arts.
As for translation and proofreading, I usually work on commercial and technical texts, as well as on marketing and web contents (about IT, SAP, mechanics, finance, engineering, law, marketing, tourism).
