OCR Engines
There are a number of different OCR engines on the market. OCR engines can differ in many ways, including accuracy, speed, and ability to analyze noisy, dim and rotated pages.
Software XYZ allows you to choose the OCR engine you wish to use. See OCR Settings for more information on selecting a preferred OCR engine.
Built-in Engine
XYZ includes its own OCR engine. This engine is very fast and handles poor images gracefully, though its accuracy degrades as the image quality goes down. Its accuracy is typically above 90%, high enough to make your documents searchable. The built-in engine does not recognize rotated pages, meaning that all scanned images must have upright text.
Other Engines
Other engines will be available as options if they are detected on your computer. Note that XYZ does not install other engines for you.
If you prefer to use an OCR engine which XYZ does not currently support, please contact us about adding it to our supported engine list.

OCR-Engines

Integrierte Engine

Speaker placement
Ideal speaker placement varies depending on the size of your room and the wall coverings, etc. The typical example of speaker placement and recommendations are as follows :
■ Front left and right speakers and center speaker
• Place the front speakers with their front surfaces as flush with TV or monitor screen as possible.
• Place the center speaker between the front left and right speakers and no further from the listening position than the front speakers.
• Place each speaker so that sound is aimed at the location of the listener’s ears when at the main listening position.
■ Surround left and right speakers
• Place the surround speakers approximately 1 meter (40 inches) above the ear level of a seated listener on the direct left and right of them or slightly behind.
■ Surround back left and right speakers
• Place the surround back speakers at the back facing the front at a narrower distance than front speakers.
• When using a single surround back speaker, place it at the rear center facing the front at a slightly higher position (0 to 20 cm) than the surround speakers.
• We recommend installing the surround back speaker(s) at a slightly downward facing angle.
■ Subwoofer
• The subwoofer reproduces powerful deep bass sounds.
Place a subwoofer anywhere in the front as desired.
■ Notes:
• When using a conventional TV, to avoid interference with the TV picture, use only magnetically shielded front left and right and center speakers.
• To obtain the best surround effects, the speakers except the subwoofer should be full range speakers.

Aufstellen der Lautsprecher
Der ideale Ort für Lautsprecher hängt von der Größe Ihres Raums, der Wandverkleidung etc. ab. Typische Beispiele und Empfehlungen für die Lautsprecherplatzierung sind diese:
■ Lautsprecher vorne links und rechts, sowie in der Mitte
• Platzieren Sie die vorderen Lautsprecher so, dass ihre Vorderseiten möglichst in einer Linie mit der Vorderseite des Fernsehers oder Monitorbildschirms stehen.
• Platzieren Sie den mittleren Lautsprecher zwischen die linken und rechten vorderen Lautsprecher, und nicht weiter von der Hörposition entfernt, als die vorderen Lautsprecher.
• Platzieren Sie jeden Lautsprecher so, dass der Sound an den Ort zielt, wo sich die Ohren des Hörers befinden werden.
■ Linke und rechte Surround-Lautsprecher
• Platzieren Sie die Surround-Lautsprecher ca. 1 Meter (40 Zoll) über Ohrhöhe eines sitzenden Zuhörers, direkt links und rechts, oder leicht hinter dem Zuhörer.
■ Hintere rechte und linke Surround-Lautsprecher
• Platzieren Sie die hinteren Surround-Lautsprecher hinten in Ihrem Raum, so dass sie nach vorne weisen und enger beieinander stehen als die vorderen Lautsprecher.
• Wenn Sie einen einzelnen hinteren Surround-Lautsprecher verwenden, stellen Sie ihn hinten in die Mitte, wobei er nach vorne zeigt und etwas höher platziert ist (0 bis 20 cm) als die Surround-Lautsprecher.
• Wir empfehlen, den/die Surround-Lautsprecher leicht nach unten geneigt anzubringen.
■ Subwoofer
• Der Subwoofer reproduziert starke, tiefe Bassgeräusche.
Platzieren Sie einen Subwoofer an einen beliebigen Ort vorne.
