Like most of the families here, pig farming is in their blood.
Passed down from his father, Mr Koh has run his farm for over 20 years.
With 1500 animals work is tough but lucrative. There are two and a half million pigs in this country, in an industry worth 250 million dollars. But Mr Koh fears for the future of his business.
The pig farms of north Malaysia are battling a mysterious epidemic, killing both animals and farmers.
If it moves to Sungai Nipah, from the outbreak farms of the north around Ipoh it will be catastrophic.
This farm in north Malaysia has been devastated by the epidemic. The farmer has died and so has his son. His wife is selling these seemingly healthy pigs to a farm in Sungai Nipah, where the Koh family lives.
They will unleash a biological firestorm, devastating the lives of thousands of people.
Sungai Nipah wakes up to another normal day. But the air of normality is broken by shocking news, a local pig farmer falls sick suffering the same symptoms of the northern outbreak.
Within days eight more cases are reported.
The outbreak is assumed to be Japanese Encephalitis, endemic in rural Asia with up to 50,000 cases a year.
This often fatal virus is common in pigs, the villain behind Japanese Encephalitis is the mosquito, the insects bite both pigs and humans, transferring the virus to people. Doctor Mike Bunning witnessed the outbreak symptoms first hand.
| Translation - Turkish Koh ailesi Malezya'nın güneyinde, Sungay Nipa adlı bir kasabada yaşıyor.
Salgının, Asya'nın kırsal bölgelerinde her yıl elli bin kişiyi hasta eden Japon Ensefalitinden kaynaklandığı düşünülüyor.
Bu ölümcül virüs domuzlarda yaygın olarak bulunuyor. Hastalık, sivrisineklerin virüsü domuzlardan insanlara taşıması yoluyla yayılıyor. Doktor Mike Bunning bu hastalığın salgınlarına şahsen tanık olmuş.

ARINGAROSA As you know, my request for funds--
PRIEST #1 Yes, twenty million euro in untraceable bearer bonds. A tad more than petty cash. Wouldn't you say, bishop?
ARINGAROSA The endeavor is complex. Freedom has a high cost.
PRIEST #1 And, of course, you will deliver us. How fortunate we are.
ARINGAROSA I only offer a route to the renewal of faith for all men.
PRIEST #1 How humble. Our savior, Bishop Aringarosa.
PREFECT Were we to grant your request, when would this mission commence?
ARINGAROSA Actually, tonight.
PREFECT What?
ARINGAROSA It has begun already.
PREFECT We have not agreed.
PRIEST #1 How dare you presume that--
ARINGAROSA (overlapping) I do not presume, I act!
| Translation - Turkish Prefect (12.03): -- (Konuştuklarımız…) burada kalacak.
Prefect (12.12): Ne diyordunuz?
Prefect (12.50): Ne?
Aringarosa (12.51): Başladı bile.
Prefect (12.52): Biz onay vermedik.
Priest #1 (12.53): Nasıl cesaret edersin—
Aringarosa (12.54): Cesaret değil, hareket!
