I am an experienced, certified and reliable London-based translator of Portuguese into English, with over one million words translated. As a native English speaker living in the UK, I can guarantee top-quality translations that are free of source language interference and read like originals. At the same time, I maintain close connections with Portugal, having lived there on and off for a total of 13 years. I still visit on a regular basis and it feels like a second home to me.

I took up translation as a full-time career in early 2007, passed the IoL Diploma in Translation exams in January 2008 with two merits and a distinction, and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in October 2008.

Profile - Arabic

I also provide high-quality translations of Arabic into English, drawing on the considerable experience I have in my other language pair. I have been studying Arabic for nine years, during which time I have lived in Oman (3 years) and Syria (2 years), between periods in London studying towards my BA Arabic and Islamic Studies. I graduated top of my class in July 2009 and sat the IoL Diploma in Translation exams in January 2010, passing with two merits and a distinction (in Law). I speak Arabic at home with my Syrian wife and am an avid reader of Arabic newspapers, novels and Islamic religious works.
