I am a German to English translator and editor with over 10 years experience. I specialize in corporate and financial communications. I deliver bold, fresh copy to international companies and communications agencies who need to send the right message to their shareholders, employees and the public.
I earned a B.A. in German Studies and International Affairs at the University of Colorado in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I cut my teeth in the translation business in the late 90’s and early “aughts” as translator for a German machine tool manufacturer. In 2003, I set off on my own to offer my skills as a freelance translator. I moved to Bonn, Germany, in 2008 to work for a globally operating company as one of their core communications and financial translators.
Still based out of Bonn, Germany, I now work independently to help companies find their English voice. Communications experts understand that the right message is more than just words. I work closely with my clients – even on site – to ensure that what they say is really what they mean.
My motto is “work to live, don’t live to work.” I value my family and free time because they help me deliver the highest quality of service to my clients. I strive for a work-life balance that keeps my head clear and the creativity flowing. I am happiest carving big turns in deep powder. During the three less important seasons of the year, I enjoy biking, hiking, camping, travelling and not sitting at my computer! |
